Wassup?
Hello everyone, it’s been a bit but I needed to practice a new art style, and as a result, have updated a majority of the Zealous Villain Project designs! Welcome to Z Villain Project “Year 2” (I think its like Year 2.5 now or somethin)
Before you freak the hell out, the new art is all Reference Art and not Standing Images. All of my old art for these characters had clothing and hair that didn’t make sense, was shaded in a way that made it hard to tell what anything was, and also I didn’t know how fabric worked so everyone unintentionally had giants chests and bulges. This new art seeks to simplify their designs to better convey details, and make them easier for others to draw, I do not expect this to be actually used anywhere, and will give them new standing images at a later date.
The concept art is mostly just mirrored drawings and aren’t really to scale with each other. I still have to update the V5 defaults and some of the SV banks. As for other engines: Sanko will probably get updated, Bianca is likely going to be retired as I don’t support the engine she’s on, and the Beta VBs I’m currently figuring out if they should be designs for the v6 banks they became, or stay separate.
I am currently busy working on my game, Enzio-Ware so I’m not promising anything for Zealous Villain Project going forward. All of the new concept art was made in like a day. I would like to make designs for the SV and V6 banks that released after I gave up, but time will tell if I can fit it into my schedule.
Truthfully a big reason why I’ve stopped doing ZVP stuff is because I learned some people I’d genuinely respected and looked up to had been making fun of everything I do (albeit in private), and it’s truly just hard to continue doing stuff knowing that. Please know that I am genuinely trying to improve at everything I do, and the only reason the stuff I do is so monetized is because I can’t get a fucking job, I’ve never even made money off of any of this shit (Actually losing a ton of money cause of server and domain costs), and it truly upsets me that because I’m not that good at any of this stuff people think I’m money hungry.
Anyways, maybe that was too much of a vent. Once I get the villains updated I’ll probably also give the Z Music Club similar reference art.
