It seems like every 2 days I’m writing a damn news post now. But yeah, I saw a tweet on Retrieval Based Voice Conversion (RVC) and immediately stopped what I was doing to train Dunder_Pocket since the only thing preventing Dunder_Pocket from existing was the updated colab notebooks being impossible to access. Even though Dunder_Pocket renders noise where silence is meant to be, I’m not going to label him as Alpha or Beta and am just gonna assume it’s either an issue with the program or the data i’m rendering him on top of. I will try to train him with more data in the future though.
Voicebank Info
Dunder_Pocket is a RVC voicebank trained using Dunder_Mercedonius AI’s samples (about 1 hour and 20 minutes of singing data). You will be able to use him using the Web UI. Google translate works on the page in the event the English version is not out yet. Because I struggled with this even though I literally google translated the notebook entry for it, you run this cell to import his model into the Web GUI don’t fuck around with the checkpoint tab lol.
Dunder_Pocket will also be able to be used under the eventual Dunder Commercial License!
Demos
I picked (primarily) English songs for his 3 demos as English Dunder basically didn’t exist until Intercalaris+ back in November and this is a bigger showcase than Japanese. I also didn’t try to like, correct major issues in these demos aside from noise rendering, just so they serve as actual displays of what the voicebank can do right now.
Good Morning Sue was chosen specifically to show off what split vocals sound like processed through Dunder_Pocket. And A Way of Life was chosen because it’s my best tuned SVP and because you can compare it to Mercedonius AI in the previous post. As for a Lone Prayer, it’s just there as a middle ground. As a bonus for reading this article, here’s a render of Disordered Self Restraint Girl that didn’t get made into a cover since RVC couldn’t process Ninezero’s growl.
Edit: I unlisted the cover of A Lone Prayer because YouTube decided to push it to random Persona fans and that was the worst cover for it to be pushing out.
Design
For Dunder_Pocket’s design I’ve went with an outdoorsy look. I’m shying away from calling it his summer outfit just because I’m toying with making Dunder_CV Act II, so for now it’s his woodsy design.
